Guidelines for Effective Chanting

- •Use a Rudraksha or Tulsi mala for counting (108 beads)
- •Maintain regularity — same time and place daily
- •Start with correct pronunciation — learn from a qualified teacher
- •Chant with attention and devotion, not mechanically
- •Keep a sankalpa (intention) before beginning
- •Don't break a mantra cycle (anushthana) once started
- •After japa, sit in silence for a few minutes to absorb the vibrations
